RapidNet is a unique, pre-terminated, manufacture tested and approved ‘Plug-and-Play” network cabling system; consisting of snap-into-place Category 6 patch panel cassettes and high density outlet pods which are delivered to specified cable lengths on RapidNet custom cable reels.
Designed and manufactured by HellermannTyton, the system is designed to reduce installation time by up to 75% and alleviate the potential risk of performance headaches caused by traditional installation techniques. Customers also benefit, as business disruption and system downtime due to installation is also significantly reduced.
We’ve achieved this by transferring certain activities which were previously conducted at the installation site to Hellermann Tyton’s factory shop floor, enabling more repeatable quality control.

- 19” 1RU patch panel frames with dual labeling fields pre-loaded into the cabinet at the factory.
- Each patch panel frame takes 4 by 6 way RJ45 cassettes supplying a total of 24 RJ45 ports in 1RU.
- The 6 port cassettes are specially designed to hold 6 cables and are loaded into the 19” patch panel frames from the rear and automatically locked into position.
Quality Control
- Once the cables have been installed on site we recommend that a DC test is carried out on 5 of the 6 cables from each loom to establish continuity, with the 6th cable undergoing a further full performance test.
- All performance testing is carried out in line with ISO 11801 and EIA/TIA 568 Standards.

Warranty
- RapidNet is fully covered by our comprehensive 25 Year System Guarantee which fully covers the performance of the system in addition to the lifetime product guarantee.
- Only HellermannTyton Network Science Partners are authorized to design, install, and test a RapidNet system. In addition, only they are authorized to apply for a 25 year Network Sciences system warranty.

- We work closely with our Network Sciences Partners to ensure that the delivery and installation programme is maintained.
- Installation programmes often experience amendments, therefore HellermannTyton, within agreed parameters, will support any alterations within a 24 hour period whilst still maintaining overall programme deadlines.
- Our manufacturing methodology enables us to utilize our skilled workforce in a flexible manner in support of the client’s installation programme.
