Structured Cabling System Offers Unequaled Category 6 Performance

HellermannTyton introduces GigaBand system for structured cabling, which doubles the bandwidth of the proposed Category 6 standard (TIA/EIA-568B.2-1, draft 7a). Tested to perform with positive Power Sum ACR up to 400 MHz, GigaBand offers unequaled Category 6 performance. Consisting of jacks, patch panels,and patch cords, the GigaBand system offers backward compatibility and can be used with Category 5 and Category 5e systems. In addition, the GigaBand system is interoperable by maintaining similar performance when tested with other leading manufacturers' products. New products within the telecommunications catalog include: surface raceway for various applications; workstation products including faceplates, boxes, and Category 5E jacks, Category 5E patch panels,Category 5E patch cable assemblies, 110 blocks, and punch down tools; relay racks, shelves, and brackets; write-on and UL 94V-0 flame-rated grip ties; clips and clamps; and labeling products.

Closure Sealing & Splicing - innovative solution for routing & jointing copper/optic cable for telephony networks.

Within the complex web of fibre optic communications, the effective management of routing, splicing and sealing in outside plant is critical to the integrity of the network. HellermannTyton has developed a unique range of fibre-optic cable management products that have been designed to be flexible, easy to work on and future proof. Cable sealing technology is critical to the success of the network with traditional heatshrink technology rapidly being replaced by a new safer and easier system called Cablelok#. This non heat shrink system requires minimum training for efficient installation and is ideal for hazardous environments. A wide range of fibre management cassette trays is available to handle the variety of applications. These include

Hellipse# trays.

These all have features designed for single fibre or single element working, are compact, can be used with active and passive components and a range of splices. Most enclosure kits are supplied with all materials necessary for field installation and optional accessories can be provided for aerial, surface or underground mounting.

TIPS comes complete with a versatile easy to use Windows-based software programme which enables users to print any image from a comprehensive library of letters, numbers, standard codes, bar codes, symbols, and graphics. Users can also import their own custom images and logos and automatically initiate sequential alpha-numeric and bar coding.

TIPS is also the most versatile system of its type with the ability to print on a wider range of materials.
